All adoptable cats:
are current on their age-appropriate vaccinations
have been spayed/neutered
have been FIV/FeLV tested
have been given dewormer and flea preventative
have a microchip implant
IndyAdopts! charges a $20 application fee per cat ($30 for two). IndyAdopts! Is s 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This fee helps support the cats during their residence at NLCC, the website and, when there is extra money, supports local spay/neuter for cats. IndyAdopts! has supported Cats Haven, a local sanctuary for disabled and special needs cats and Pet Friendly Services, an organization that provides spay/neuter certificates to pet welfare groups across the state.
In most cases, each organization that provides cats to us sets their own adoption fees, so the amount may vary.

Bio: Georgia is a pretty, sweet, female tiger-and-white kitty who was at an overcrowded, high-kill shelter. Misty Eyes brought her into our foster program so she can find a better life. She is friendly, social, lives with other cats and does well.

Bio: A Misty Eyes partner rescue requested our help with a mama kitty and her three kittens. Carmen Miranda is a young Tortie who is friendly, was very good at caring for her babies and is now seeking a forever home of her own. She is a typical Tortie who can display some "tortitude" from time-to-time, but if you like your kitty with a bit of spice, she's the one for you.

Bio: Cinnamon is a handsome brown tabby male kitty who came to Misty Eyes to find his forever home. He has good litterbox manners and will make a great companion. He's sweet and affectionate and enjoys playing with wand toys and cardboard scratchers. He really likes being petted and spending time with his person/people. Cinnamon lives with dogs and is fine with them. He is okay with other cats, but wouldn't mind being the only kitty in the home

Bio: London, a female tiger-and-white kitty, and her little kitten, Paris, were found as strays in someone's yard. The good samaritan brought them to Misty Eyes in hopes of finding forever homes for them. London is skittish and shy, but has begun to relax little-by-little in her foster home.

About me: I am full-time in the cat lounge. You might find me in a cubby…I love to play hide and seek! Did you know there was a soap made in my honor?
Playful? I am very playful! I am particularly fond of the Ripple Rug, spring toys and certain colorful balls. My “zoomies” are legendary!
Good with other pets? I enjoy playing with the new cats and with Sasha and Weeble.
Good with kids? Yes! I especially love the kids that visit NLCC.
SASHA Interim Director (Sabbatical Replacement)

About me: I love life at Nine Lives, especially at wet food feeding times! I’ll do anything for a Churu or SqueezeUp treat.
Playful? I am playful, but I really enjoy my naps, too. I am a deep afternoon sleeper! My latest obsession is walking on the cat wheel and complaining about the exercise I get! I’ll put on a show for you. I have been known to claim the wheel and smack any other cat who is on my wheel when I want to use it…
Good with other pets? I have found my purpose here in comforting and grooming the kittens waiting to be adopted. Before Weeble was injured, my goal in life was to comfort only him and to defend him from interlopers (i.e. other kittens…I was a 1950’s parenting specialist, lol).
Good with kids? Yes, but I have some conditions. AVOID attempting to cuddle with me. I reserve my cuddle time for kittens and for Weeble.

Playful? I am playful! I love computer keyboards and try my best to follow letters on the screen. My favorite toys in the lounge are springs and balls on tracks.
Good with other pets? I love all the other cats! I like to play and do well with all of the cats. Because I am perpetually a kitten, I want to play with all of the kittens and can overwhelm the smaller ones. The dogs I see being walked in by our front window definitely catch my attention…but I’m not wanting them to get any closer!
Good with kids? Yes, so long as they don’t mind me spreading around all the love I have to give!
WEEBLE (aka Sir Weebs) Resident Love Monster!

About me: Yes, you read the right…I have retired! I made a lot of friends and cuddled a lot of kittens during my 3-year tenure as Director of Feline Activities at NLCC. I have recently become intolerant and downright grumbly with the little ones in my middle age. Life in the cat lounge isn’t forever! I have made the difficult decision to take an early. well-deserved retirement.
I will miss the staff and the many frequent human friends that loved me during my time here, but for the sake of my mental and physical health, I have handed over the Director position to Squidward. I know he will do a good job and I will miss my buddy, but my time at Nine Lives has come to a beautiful ending.
