All adoptable cats:
are current on their age-appropriate vaccinations
have been spayed/neutered
have been FIV/FeLV tested
have been given dewormer and flea preventative
have a microchip implant
IndyAdopts! charges a $20 application fee per cat ($30 for two). IndyAdopts! Is s 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This fee helps support the cats during their residence at NLCC, the website and, when there is extra money, supports local spay/neuter for cats. IndyAdopts! has supported Cats Haven, a local sanctuary for disabled and special needs cats and Pet Friendly Services, an organization that provides spay/neuter certificates to pet welfare groups across the state.
In most cases, each organization that provides cats to us sets their own adoption fees, so the amount may vary.
We make every effort to update the status of each cat (available or pending) on a daily basis! Available* means that the cat currently has an application. ARPO may consider multiple applications in order to determine the best fit.

About me: Yes, you read the right…I have retired! I made a lot of friends and cuddled a lot of kittens during my 3-year tenure as Director of Feline Activities at NLCC. I have recently become intolerant and downright grumbly with the little ones in my middle age. Life in the cat lounge isn’t forever! I have made the difficult decision to take an early. well-deserved retirement.
I will miss the staff and the many frequent human friends that loved me during my time here, but for the sake of my mental and physical health, I have handed over the Director position to Squidward. I know he will do a good job and I will miss my buddy, but my time at Nine Lives has come to a beautiful ending.
