SQUIDWARD Director Emeritus
Age: 4 years (born August 19, 2021)
Sex: Male
Status: I retired for good on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Visiting Sora in his senior living community was so fun that I decided it was the life for me! Thank you so much for all the pets and bottom rubs and for supporting me during my residency at NLCC.
SASHA Director of Feline Activities
Age: 4 years (born July 28, 2021)
Sex: Female
Status: On duty! I love my new role.
About me: I love life at Nine Lives, especially at wet food feeding times! I’ll do anything for a Churu or SqueezeUp treat.
Playful? I am playful, but I really enjoy my naps, too. I am a deep afternoon sleeper! My latest obsession is walking on the cat wheel and complaining about the exercise I get! I’ll put on a show for you. I have been known to claim the wheel and smack any other cat who is on my wheel when I want to use it…
Good with other pets? Before Weeble was injured, my goal in life was to comfort only him and to defend him from interlopers (i.e. other kittens…I was a 1950’s parenting specialist, lol).
Good with kids? Yes, but I have some conditions. AVOID attempting to cuddle with me. I reserve my cuddle time for kittens and for Weeble.
Age: 3 years (born April 19, 2022)
Sex: Male
Status: I’m the oldest kitten you’ll ever meet! Loving life in the lounge with the kittens and back to hugging the staff and a few favorite customers!
I’m hard at work, playing with springs and hanging with Squidward and Sasha. I love interacting with all of the people and the kittens! I’m still a kitten, right?? Check out my posts on Instagram!
About me: I am an athlete who never stops playing! I give selected guests affection, including proper hugs (with both arms around your neck)! You can also tell that I like you if I give you a “silent” meow. I might also nibble on you…
Playful? I am playful! I love computer keyboards and try my best to follow letters on the screen. My favorite toys in the lounge are springs and balls on tracks.
Good with other pets? I love all the other cats! I like to play and do well with all of the cats. Because I am perpetually a kitten, I want to play with all of the kittens and can overwhelm the smaller ones. The dogs I see being walked in by our front window definitely catch my attention…but I’m not wanting them to get any closer!
Good with kids? Yes, so long as they don’t mind me spreading around all the love I have to give!
WEEBLE (aka Sir Weebs) Resident Love Monster!
Age: 5 years (born March 25, 2019)
Sex: Male
Status: Retired
About me: Yes, you read the right…I have retired! I made a lot of friends and cuddled a lot of kittens during my 3-year tenure as Director of Feline Activities at NLCC. I have recently become intolerant and downright grumbly with the little ones in my middle age. Life in the cat lounge isn’t forever! I have made the difficult decision to take an early. well-deserved retirement.
I will miss the staff and the many frequent human friends that loved me during my time here, but for the sake of my mental and physical health, I have handed over the Director position to Squidward. I know he will do a good job and I will miss my buddy, but my time at Nine Lives has come to a beautiful ending.
